Reform of Land Market Advances
China has made remarkable progress towards building a regulated land market by establishing a new paid system to transfer the right to use state-owned land and such a market is the only way to guarantee the best use of the country's land resources, Minister Tian Fengshan of Land and Resources said Monday, the day before this year's National Day of Land.

More Contact Between Chinese and US Armed Forces Urged
When meeting with Anthony Lake who is leading a US delegation to a symposium on the development of Sino-US relations, Chinese Defense Minister Chi Haotian on Monday said that more contact between the Chinese and US armed forces will help develop relations between the two countries, and urged the United States not to send misleading signals to the Taiwan authorities over the unresolved Taiwan issue.
