Police in southwest China's Yunnan Province have arrested six members of a drug ring, local authorities announced Monday.
A total of 14.525 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized during the arrest.
In February, police received a tip-off that a woman had purchased drugs abroad and was looking for an opportunity to transport them to China.
An investigation showed that the woman completed the deal abroad and planned to sneak back to China with the drugs.
Police stopped a car in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture on March 11 and caught two suspects with the drugs.
Four remaining members of the ring were arrested later the same day.
The case is under investigation.
